Travel Day for Storm

March 27, 2013 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Summerside Storm News Release

(Summerside, PE) After a home victory Tuesday night at Credit Union Place, the Summerside STORM are on the road to Ontario today to continue their best of five NBL semi-final series with the Windsor Express.

The STORM lost game one of the series Sunday afternoon on a last second shot by the Express and Tuesday came back to win 114-98 to tie up the series at one game apiece. Games three and four in the series will be played in Windsor on Thursday and Saturday nights and if a fifth game is needed it will be played back on Prince Edward Island on Tuesday April 2nd at Credit Union Place.

There seems to be little to choose between the STORM and Windsor at this time and there is a possibility of this series going to the deciding game. If that were the case, the atmosphere at Credit Union Place would be phenomenal. The same can be said for the STORM home building if they are able to win two on the road in Windsor this week and make it to the NBL Championship series.

The other semi-final features the London Lightning playing the Moncton Miracles with the Lightning leading the series one game to none. Game two of that series continues tonight in London at 8 pm AST.

The winners of the two semi-finals will meet for the NBL Championship with the series starting at the higher seeds building from the regular season.

STORM Fans are reminded tickets are being sold at Credit Union Place Box-office for the playoffs. Tickets are also available online at www.stormbasketball.ca or by calling 902-432-1234. Fans can purchase tickets and reserve their seats now for future play-off games. If games are not played, fans can get a refund or put their purchase toward season tickets for next season.

All games in the NBL Play-offs can be seen live on the world wide web by going to the NBL website and following the webcasting links.
