Trashers trade Curic to Port Huron for draft pick

DANBURY, CT—The Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League have traded defenseman Ivan Curic to the Port Huron Beacons in exchange for a 6th round selection in next year's North American Draft, it was announced today by Team President A.J. Galante.

Curic, 23, is currently in his second season as a professional after he spent last season with Adirondack of the United Hockey League (UHL), Fort Worth and Oklahoma City of the Central Hockey League (CHL). He appeared in 18 games and scored four points, all on assists.

The Toronto, Ontario native appeared in five games this season for the Trashers and garnered a +1 rating for his play on the ice.

The Danbury Trashers return to the ice on Friday October 29th at the Glens Falls Civic Center against the Adirondack Frostbite at 7:05pm. The Trashers return home on Saturday October 30th against Richmond at 7pm and on Sunday October 31st at 5:30pm against Adirondack. Tickets for all Trashers home games are available at DanburyTrashers.com and at the team shop located at the Danbury Ice Arena.

All children 12-and-under who are dressed in a Halloween costume and are accompanied by a paid adult will receive a free ticket to Sunday's game against the Adirondack Frostbite. There will also be a special Halloween costume contest for kids and adults between the first and second period, with further details to be announced on Sunday during the game.
