DANBURY, CT-The United Hockey League (UHL) announced that Danbury Trashers coach Paul Gillis has earned the opportunity to serve as one of the head coaches in the upcoming UHL All-Star Classic, scheduled for Wednesday January 25th at the St. Charles Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.

Gillis earned the opportunity to coach following Danbury's come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Adirondack Frostbite on New Year's Day. Danbury's J.M. Daoust scored the game-winner with 37.6 seconds left in the 3rd period.

This is the second consecutive season that a Danbury Trashers coach has helmed the All-Star Classic. Former coach Todd Stirling coached Team Pepsi during the 2005 UHL All-Star Classic in Glens Falls, NY.

FSN Midwest is televising the game on a "tape delay" basis the following Friday and Saturday. Prior to the contest, a special charity game between the St. Louis Blues Alumni and a UHL Commissioner's Team will take place with proceeds benefiting St. Louis Children's Hospital.

The Trashers return home on Wednesday January 4th at 7pm against Kalamazoo for Back to School Night. All students, teachers and school employees can purchase tickets for $10.00 at the Danbury Ice Arena with a valid ID for the game.

Danbury will embark on a three-game road trip after Wednesday night's game that will take them to Motor City, Flint and Fort Wayne starting on Friday night. Friday's game against the Motor City Mechanics starts at 7:30pm.

Tickets for all Trashers home games are available at DanburyTrashers.com, in person at the Danbury Ice Arena or by calling 866-565-PUCK.
