Danbury Trashers News Release

DANBURY, CT--Adirondack tallied five power play goals in seven chances as the man-advantage proved to be fruitful for the Frostbite in front of a sold out Danbury Ice Arena in an 8-2 win over the Trashers on Saturday night.

Despite the Trashers gaining an early lead on a John Morlang goal, the Frostbite battled back from the brink of elimination as they tallied three first period goals and never looked back.

Bob Rapoza finished with four points on one goal, while David Burgess and Scott Drevitch each netted a pair of goals. Hugo Belanger, Greg Koehler and Trevor Segstro also scored for the Frostbite.

Kris Tebbs made his first playoff start and was solid in stopping 27 of 29 shots. Scott Stirling was off his game as he only stopped 20 of 27 shots before he gave way to Ryan McIntosh, who stopped two of three shots faced.

Danbury is currently up 3-1 in the series and will have a chance to reboud on Saturday night at 7:35pm from the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Tickets are now available for the third Trashers home playoff game, which will either be on Sunday at 5:30pm against the Frostbite or at a date to be determined in the second round. Stop by the Danbury Ice Arena, call 866-565-PUCK or purchase online at DanburyTrashers.com.

Fans unable to attend the Saturday game in Glens Falls can listen or watch online with play-by-play announcer Phil Giubileo at DanburyTrashers.com. Audio streaming is free, while the streaming video is available for $6.00.
