Glens Falls Dragons News Release

Thursday night was supposed to be more of a low scoring affair but no one told the offenses as Adirondack defeated the Glens Falls Golden Eagles by a score of 11-4.

The Golden Eagles sent Jack Fowler (Felician) to the mound who boasted a 2.49 ERA but he was tagged for the loss and for 6 runs in only a third of an inning of work as he left due to an apparent injury. His counterpart Tsuyoshi Horibata (Binghamton) threw 4.2 innings scattering 6 hits and allowed 4 runs, however Brian Sondergard (NJIT) would get the win in relief as he threw 2.1 innings of 2 hit ball.

Adirondack would be led offensively by Mark Williams (La Salle) who went 2 for 5 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. The highlight of his game was a 3 run homer to straight away left field that put the Blazers ahead 6-0. Matt Burns (Southern CT. St.) would be a spark plug in the top part of the line up as he went 4 for 6 at the plate with 2 runs scored.

The Eagles were led by the bats of Danny Oliveri (Triton) and Brennan Price (Felician). Oliveri went 2 for 4 with a run scored at the top of the lineup. Price went 1 for 3 but drove in 2 runs on a hard single to right center.
