Asheville, NC--The Asheville Tourists were happy to be home on Thursday night as they pounded out eight runs on 14 hits in an 8-2 victory over the Augusta GreenJackets. Four of Asheville's hits were round-trippers hit by four different players.

The scoring began in the bottom of the second inning. Dillon Thomas served a two-run double down the left field line plating both Correlle Prime and Jordan Patterson. In the bottom of the fourth Prime and Patterson hit back-to-back Home Runs to lead off the frame.

Augusta scratched across a run in the top of the fifth on Randy Ortiz's RBI groundout, but consecutive two out doubles in the bottom half by Ryan McMahon and Prime made it 5-1.

The GreenJackets scored their final run of the game in the top of the seventh. Rando Moreno dribbled an RBI groundout down the first base line to score Rafael Rodriguez.

Once again, the Tourists answered immediately. With two outs in the seventh and a runner at second, McMahon blasted a two-run shot to right-centerfield. That put the Tourists ahead7-2.

Jose Briceno added a solo Home Run in the eighth.

Alex Balog started for the home team and worked five innings for the win. Balog surrendered just one run on five hits while striking out four. Konner Wade worked the final four innings and notched his first save of the year. It was also Wade's first relief appearance this season.

Prime finished 3-for-4 with a Home Run and two doubles. McMahon, Patterson, Briceno, Thomas, and Cesar Galvez all chipped in two hits.

The same two teams are back at it on Friday night with the first pitch set for 7:05pm.
