Bryan-College Station, TX - The Twin City Toucans first ever match concluded with an exciting two to nothing victory over AC Houston Sur soccer club! Edible Field was absolutely electric this evening, having a live band, streamers, a talented dance team, and lots of fun activities. The toucans team sported the most colorful soccer jersey being used to this day and took that vibrance to the next level! The victory tonight really set up the spirit in Bryan as a fan base is growing for this talented team. The team dominated defensively and displayed excellent skills fending off Houston from their goal! Lot's of soccer fans came out tonight to support the Toucans showing lots of excitement and with the win even more anticipation to see how successful this team will get this summer!

The Toucans put up two goals in the second half of the match propelling them in front of the Houston Sur! This victory was definitely a team effort with plays from all around the team but Rhys Shirley stunned fans with his impressive talent earning him player of the game tonight. The Toucan's star played 90 minutes this game scoring the first goal the new Toucans team has ever had, putting the team on the board as he also logged an assist. The England native's speed really sets him apart on the field and it was definitely proven tonight with the goal assisted by Miguel Pantera. The Toucan's striker really set the standard for excellence for this team tonight as he aided the win and being no stranger to high level soccer having played professionally for Plymouth Argyle.

Another impressive performance tonight on the Toucans was from right wing Miguel Pantera that was assisted by Rhys! Miguel also put up a goal and an assist for the Toucans this evening excited fans and greatly brought together the Bryan community as they welcomed soccer back to Edible Field. Pantera was quick to get around defenders tonight and that was rewarded with a beautiful goal later in the second half that secured the win for the Toucans and brought celebration through the stands. Micah Gunn is also praised for his excellent work tonight in the goal giving up no goals to the Houston Sur and communicating well with his team throughout the night. In total tonight the Toucans had 4 saves and 10 shots which brought them to an electrifying win that will be remembered by this fanbase forever!
