
Toros Acquire DerMarr Johnson

AUSTIN, TX (March 3, 2009) - The Austin Toros announced today that the team has acquired forward DerMarr Johnson from the NBA D-League Player Pool.
Johnson, a 6-9, 210-pound forward from Cincinnati, played for the Toros during the 2007-08 season and averaged 17.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 44 games. While playing for Austin last season, Johnson received two GATORADE Call-Ups to the San Antonio Spurs and remained with the team for the 2008 NBA Playoffs.
He is expected to be in uniform for Wednesday's game against the Colorado 14ers in Broomfield, CO. Johnson replaces Nate Brown who was recently waived due to injury.
