Erie BayHawks News Release

Erie, Pennsylvania, Monday, November 29 - The Toronto Raptors announced today that they have recalled forward Ed Davis from the Erie BayHawks, their NBA Development League Affiliate.

Davis appeared in two games for Erie versus the Fort Wayne Mad Ants over the weekend. He totaled 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting (.583 percent), had 10 rebounds, 6 blocked shots, 1 assist and 4 turnovers in 35 minutes of play. Erie won both contests.

Davis, 21, was the 13th overall draft choice by Toronto in the 2010 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-10, 225-pounder from the University of North Carolina averaged 12.6 points (3rd on the team) and 6.0 rebounds (2nd on the team) in the 2010 NBA Las Vegas Summer League. He shot .632 (24-of-38) from the field and tied for the team lead with nine blocks.

Davis's assignment was intended to be a short-term rehabilitation and conditioning stint due to a meniscus tear he suffered in his right knee prior to the start of training camp.

The BayHawks roster now stands at 12 players, with Solomon Alabi and Christian Eyenga still on assignment from the Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers respectively.

The BayHawks hit the road again later this week with two games in Albuquerque against the New Mexico Thunderbirds on Friday and Saturday night, and head to Provo, Utah on Tuesday to battle the Utah Flash. Erie returns home December 10 and 11 to play host to the Maine Red Claws.
