
Toronto FC Sign Tsubasa Endoh

Toronto FC announced Saturday that the club has signed forward Tsubasa Endoh.
"Throughout preseason Tsubasa has shown a high level of professionalism. He has done a great job of integrating into the group and has been a solid contributor thus far," said Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. "He is a player that we have liked for some time and one with a great amount of upside. We are excited to get this deal done and have Tsubasa as a member of Toronto FC."
Endoh, 22, has registered one goal and appeared in seven of the club's matches throughout the 2016 preseason. He was selected by the Reds in the first round (9th Overall) during the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Prior to being drafted, Endoh spent four seasons at the University of Maryland. He appeared in 85 matches, registering 12 goals and 16 assists for the Terrapins. During his collegiate career he earned Big Ten Championship Most Valuable Offensive Player, Second Team All-Big Ten Selection and was named Big Ten Conference Player to watch. Endoh was named the MVP of the 2016 adidas MLS Player Combine.
Endoh has represented the Japanese Men's National team at the U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15 and U-17 levels.
