South Georgia Tormenta FC News Release

Tormenta FC players have embraced the holiday spirit by giving back to local Statesboro nonprofits through the club's online charity auction. Fans can bid on Tormenta FC signed jerseys from the club's first professional season starting today through Monday, December 2.

"Tormenta FC is extremely excited to launch its first inaugural online charity auction," owner Darin Van Tassell said. "With this auction, Tormenta can engage with fans while continuing to break down barriers, raising money for local and international charities alike."

The online auction will raise money for a variety of charities with proceeds going to a nonprofit of the player's choice. Charities range from local causes like Mill Creek Elementary and the Bulloch County Boys & Girls Club to international nonprofits like the Japan Society Disaster Relief Fund.

Local Beneficiaries of the Tormenta FC Charity Auction:

Hands and Hearts Clinic

Ibis Foundation

Low Country Down Syndrome Society

Mill Creek Elementary

Statesboro Bulloch County Breast Cancer Foundation

Bidding is open now at 32Auctions, a family-oriented silent auction website that maximizes fundraising abilities.
