STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC has announced the addition of defender Taylor Crull to its 2022 USL League One roster, pending league and federation approval. The defender adds stability and experience to an already strong defensive unit, joining the club's first team after a stint with Tormenta FC 2.

Crull played college ball at Xavier University, where he crafted his skills throughout five years. During those five years, Crull started in 63 of his 64 games played and contributed two goals and an assist.

Crull signed his first professional contract with San Diego Loyal SC in 2022. With the Loyal, Crull appeared twice in USL Championship fixtures in a 4-1 win against the Charleston Battery and a 1-1 draw against Oakland Roots SC. In addition, Crull started in the Loyal's first-ever Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup fixture, where he scored the winning goal to send the Loyal to the third round of the National Tournament for the first time in club history.

While with Tormenta FC 2, Crull has started all three games before getting his call-up to the first team. Crull played a significant role in the defensive line, leading the team to two crucial wins against Dalton Red Wolves SC and the SC United Bantams.

Tormenta FC is excited for a historic 2022 as it transitions from Erk Russell Park to Tormenta Stadium. Supporters can purchase Flex Ticket packages to guarantee their presence at all remaining home matches this season.
