Daytona Tortugas News Release
[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] Tonight's game (June 26) between the Daytona Cubs (2-2) and the Palm Beach Cardinals (2-2) has been postponed due to extensive rain in Daytona Beach. Today marks the second rainout of the season at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and the third game the Cubs have been a part of that was called due to rain in 2006.
Tonight's game will be made up with a doubleheader on July 16 with the first game beginning at 4:05 p.m. and the second game taking place directly afterward. Both games being seven inning contests. The series in July will mark the last visit by Palm Beach to Jackie Robinson Ballpark in 2006.
Tomorrow's game is expected to go on as scheduled with game time scheduled for 12:05 p.m. The starters for tomorrow afternoon are expected to be Mark Holliman (5-4) for the Cubs and Eric Haberer (4-5) for Palm Beach. The Cardinals won game one of the three game series yesterday.
The only other rainout at Jackie Robinson Ballpark this season was on June 12 with the Jupiter Hammerheads in town. That game was made up with a doubleheader the next day.
