McAllen Thunder News Release
Fort Worth, Texas --- The McAllen Thunder used a six-run second inning to lead by third baseman Nathan Tomaszewski in their victory over the Fort Worth Cats on Tuesday night at La Grave Field by a score of 7-3.
Thunder starter Kedrick Martin (1-0) had a strong performance through his seven and one-third innings surrendering nine hits with three runs while striking out six in the process.
Third baseman Nathan Tomaszewski provided the offense for McAllen driving in three runs in the second inning off Cats starter Trevor Harden (0-1), who suffered his first loss of the season.
The Cats managed to score a couple of runs in the seventh inning as their major damage but never got any closer on the evening as reliever Chad Robinson pitched an inning and two-thirds to preserve the Thunder victory.
The Cats defense committed six errors on the night which allow four of the Thunder runs to be unearned.
