Walleye Notes
- All-Stars! On Thursday the ECHL announced the American Conference All-Star team. Forward Maxime Tanguay and Defenseman JC Sawyer were selected to represent the Walleye. Sawyer was named a starter for the American Conference for the game January 20th in Ontario, California.
- Shorthanded Time! Forward Derek Nesbitt collected Toledo's ninth shorthanded goal of the year Saturday night in Kalamazoo. For the season, Derek has collected 5 goals while adding 9 assists for 14 points in 18 games with the Walleye.
- Owning the Road! Forward Dominic Osman has 8 points (4g, 4a) in his last 6 road games. Osman has scored 6 of his 8 season goals on the road, and has collected 5 of his 6 assists away from the Lucas County Arena.
- MacMillan's Fists! Forward Malcolm MacMillan dropped the gloves in back-to-back games this week. On Thursday he squared off with Wheeling's Kevin Schmidt. Friday night, he battled Kalamazoo forward Brian Jurynec. MacMillan leads Toledo in penalty minutes this season (111), and he third among all players in minutes served.
- Sawyer Continues to Light the Lamp! Defenseman JC Sawyer scored his thirteenth goal of the season Saturday night in Kalamazoo. That gives JC the team lead in goals, and he continues to lead all ECHL defensemen in scoring.
- Fantastic! Toledo has welcomed an ECHL league high 120,808 fans through the doors of the Lucas County Arena this season. Toledo is averaging 5,753 fans per home contest.
On the Hook
- Gametime! Toledo will resume action this Friday at home against the Trenton Devils. Toledo will play three straight home contests this weekend with the Devils staying in town for a Saturday night tilt. The Walleye won the only previous meeting 1-0 in overtime on October 24th. JC Sawyer scored the lone goal that night. Toledo is 25-28-5 all-time against Trenton. On Sunday, the Walleye will welcome in the Charlotte Checkers for the first time this season. All-Time Toledo is 5-4-3 against the Checkers. ? Promotions! Friday night the Walleye is "Happy Birthday Elvis" night with the Walleye and features a post-game party! Saturday night features the second Scout Sleepover night this season. Sunday is "Kids Day" with the Walleye which features a post-game Open Skate!

Malcolm has a point in four of his past five contests.
Walleye Goaltender of the Week: Jordan Pearce (0-2-0, 2.01 gaa,.943 save %)
Jordan was simply stellar in both games he started this past week.
