
Toledo hosts beer night

The Team Toledo IceDiggers are inviting all fans to celebrate a weekend of junior hockey action. The Diggers host the Cleveland Barons this Friday, October 8, at 7:30 p.m. and, as the second game in a double header, will face the Youngstown Phantoms this Saturday, October 9, at 7:30 p.m.
The Toledo Cherokee (CSHL) will host Grand Rapids this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the opening game. All three games are played at the Toledo Ice House.
Friday's IceDiggers game will be Tee Shirt & Ticket Night. Adult fans can purchase a Tee Shirt plus a ticket to the game for only $12 while supplies last. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free and can purchase tee shirt for only $8.
Saturday's doubleheader will be Beer Night. Beer sales will start at 2:30 p.m. for the Cherokee game and continue through the IceDiggers game for all fans. Both Cherokee and Diggers players will be available for autographs after their respective games in the main lobby.
The Toledo IceDiggers are currently in second place in the NAHL's North Division with a record of 4-3-0. Toledo also boasts one of the NAHL's leading scorer in Paul Scalici with tow goals and seven assists in seven games.
IceDiggers forwards Eric Giosa, Jim Kozlowski and Jake Hovick are among the league's top scorers.
The Toledo IceDiggers penalty killing is currently at 96 percent. This is second best overall in the NAHL behind only the Soo Kewadin Indians who are at 96.55 percent.
Toledo IceDiggers ticket prices are one of the lowest in the NAHL. Kids 12 and under can enjoy games for free all season long; students/seniors are $4 and adult are $6.
