Tobs Sign Three Clemson Tigers

WILSON, N.C. - Three Clemson Tigers will call Wilson, particularly Historic Fleming Stadium, home for the 2015 season as the Tobs will welcome K.J. Bryant, Robert Jolly, and Hunter Van Horn.

All three players are currently in their freshman season and will use their stint in Wilson to get more playing time.

Bryant was highly regarded outfield prospect coming out of Wade Hampton High School in Taylors, S.C. where he lettered five times.

After attending numerous Perfect Game USA showcases he was ranked the No. 1 outfielder, No. 2 player in South Carolina by Perfect Game. Diamond Prospects also highly regarded Bryant as the No. 7 player and No. 2 outfielder. In addition, he also received second-team All-America and all-state honors.

Jolly is a Myrtle Beach, S.C. native and has appeared in six games for the Tigers with six plate appearances going 3-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs score.

Diamond Prospects rated him the No. 1 catcher in South Carolina while Perfect Game USA ranked him the No. 3 catcher and No. 27 player in the state.

Van Horn is another highly rated pitching prospect. So far this year, he has appeared six times, pitching 4.2 innings for a 5.79 earned run average.

The Tampa, Fla. native is a southpaw where he lettered twice while at Jesuit High School. Van Horn also played in the East Coast Pro Showcase and was a member of the Florida Travel Baseball Team. Perfect Game USA rated him the No. 55 player and No. 7 lefthander in Florida as well as No. 259 player and No. 27 lefthander in the nation.

The Tobs will open up the 2015 season Sunday, May 24th at home in an exhibition game against the Fuquay-Varina Twins of the Carolina Virginia League including a post game fireworks show presented by Thomas & Farris.
