Tobs Release 20th Anniversary Season Promotions

WILSON, N.C. - The Wilson Tobs are excited to announce the 20th Anniversary season promotional schedule with many major events happening throughout the summer.

The Tobs weekly promotions schedule includes Jana Lake Bang for your Buck Mondays with $1 hotdogs, Snowcones, and popcorn. Tuesdays are Tobs All You Can Eat anywhere in the ballpark, excluding beer and alcohol products. This year Thursdays will be Throwback Thirsty Thursdays with $1 select beer cans, draft beer specials and ½ price fountain drinks. Fridays and Saturdays are the Tobs Pack the Park weekends with special events throughout the season including the 5th Annual Beer & BBQ festival, 3rd Annual Diggin' in the Diamond Platinum Night, Salute the Troops Night, and 4th Annual Homerun for Hunger Event & 20th Anniversary Celebration.

The Tobs will be holding a variety of themed events to make this 20th Anniversary Season the best yet! The Tobs are also thrilled to be holding some of the events that fans have come to love in previous years. The Tobs will open up its season on Sunday, May 29th @ 6:00 PM with a FIREWORK SHOW, presented by Thomas Law Attorneys, following the conclusion of the game! Additionally, the Tobs and Thomas Law Attorneys will be presenting the only firework show in Wilson on July 4th with the Firework Extravaganza game.

The Tobs will host the 5th Annual Beer & BBQ festival on Saturday, June 4th with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. Fans will have the chance to taste a variety of cookers barbeque and sample assorted beers and wine from Coastal Beverage.

As in previous years, the Tobs are hosting their Picnic in the Park & Super Splash day noon game. This year fans will have two opportunities to attend the daytime game once on Tuesday, June 28th and again on Monday, July 25th. Fans will be able to play in our water features and interact with Tobs players before and throughout the game.

The Tobs will host the 4th Annual Homerun for Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, June 25th with help from First Baptist Church, Wilson Orthro, A Cheap Ride Auto Sales, The Wilson Times, and The Lions Club. Additionally, the Tobs will be celebrating 20 years of Coastal Plain League baseball by presenting and inviting out the All-Tobs 20th Anniversary Team.

Also, the Tobs are proud to announce their Diggin' in the Diamond Platinum Night game on Saturday, July 23rd. Fans will have the opportunity to sign up before the game for a chance to dig on the field for a bracelet following the Tobs game. The Tobs will have several other Platinum Anniversary giveaways during this game for fans to win just by attending.

Throwback Thirsty Thursdays are huge this season with 7 different nights which include the 3rd Annual Paint the Park Pink Night promoting Breast Cancer Awareness (July 21st), School's Out Celebration (June 9th) and Bojangles' Sportsman's Night (July 28th). The Tobs and RA Jeffery's are bringing fans the RA Jeffery's Band Series, new this season, on four different nights. The bands will play when gates open on two Throwback Thirsty Thursday nights, Opening Night Fireworks and Salute the Troop Night.

The Coastal Plain League is the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league.
