Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - Popular local radio personality, TJ Brown of Clear Channel Radio's KJ103, will be the in-game announcer for the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz arena football team in 2008.
Although he still enjoys his work as a DJ, Brown is now ready for his next professional challenge as the in-arena announcer for the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz arena football team. "I'm a huge sports fan and have always dreamed of combining my career with my love of sports. The Yard Dawgz are a great organization with an exciting product. I can't wait to bring my own level of excitement to an already fun night at Ford Center."
Yard Dawgz President and Head Coach Gary Reasons is excited about TJ working with the team. "TJ will have the ability to roam freely throughout the Ford Center each night to present our games. His quick wit and comfortable delivery will allow him to present a unique entertainment experience as he talks to fans, coaches, and players "live" throughout the game."
Brown has been a part of KJ103 in Oklahoma City since November 1998. He can be heard weekday mornings on KJ103's "TJ, Janet, and Jrod in the Morning," a show known for its offbeat humor, hot topics, and popular parody songs.
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Brown always had a dream to be on the radio. "When I was in 5th grade I had a paper route and would put on my headphones and listen to the morning radio shows. I always thought that it would be a great career."
Brown now lives in Edmond with his wife Sarah, and three children, Mitchell, Sam and Annie. "Radio has taken me all over the country, but I've found a home here in Oklahoma and plan to stay for good."
