Four Former Fever Players Assigned to Twisters

(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters have been assigned quarterback Collin Drafts, WR Byron Rogers, DB Shannon Davis, DB Muhammad Shamrid-Deen by the arenafootball2 league office. All four played with Tri-Cites last season.

Drafts played two games with the Fever, completing 20 of 38 pass attempts for 236 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He finished the season with a quarterback rating of 109.44. He played college football at Charleston Southern and finished his four year career with over 10,000 total yards. Drafts was a three time All-Conference, 2005 Offensive Player of the Year, and an honor mention Pre-Season Division II All-American in 2006.

Rogers led the Fever with 14.3 yards per catch average. He caught 17 passes for 243 yards and six touchdowns in just eight games.

Davis was the third leading tackler on Tri-Cities in '07 with 67.0 total tackles and led the team with seven interceptions, returning three for touchdowns. He also had 17 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick.

Shamrid-Deen finished the '07 season fourth on the Fever with 51.0 tackles. He also had 2.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions. The former Eastern Washington standout is second in school history in forced fumbles.

Tri-Cities finished 8-8 on the season and earned a birth in the ArenaCup Playoffs.
