Titans Trounce Danbury 10-1

New Jersey's offense set a season high for goals in a game on Saturday night as they defeated the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks by a score of 10-1.

The Titans, looking to sweep the weekend series against Danbury for the first time since the opening of the season got on the board 5:54 into the game when Logan Renkowski banged home a Dominick Rivelli pass for his 6th of the season. Lucas Marshall picked up the other assist, and the Titans were only starting. Jack Hillier scored 31 seconds later, coming out of the corner and finding the back of the net. Dominik Bartecko and Kyle Kim had the helpers on the Sacred Heart commit's 10th of the season, extending his point streak to 8 games. Ethan Wongus made it 3-0 at the 12:00 mark, taking advantage of a turnover forced by Reece Brednich and Matej Teply., and sending New Jersey into the first intermission ahead.

Wongus kept the scoring going early in the second, potting his second of the game 3:23 into the middle frame. Arhip Sidarovich and Brednich had the assists as the offense kept rolling. Rivelli added one of his own minutes later, from Ryan Novo and Renkowski, for his team leading 19th of the year. Novo then got one himself at 9:28, going five hole for his 4th of the season, assisted by Rivelli. Then, with 11 seconds to go in the period and on the power play, Lucas Marshall got his first in the NAHL to give New Jersey a 7-0 advantage after 40 minutes of play.

Leo Schwartz rifled his 3rd of the season 3 minutes into the third, with Brednich and Wongus getting the assists. Renkowski picked up his second of the game and 7th of the year 4 minutes later, with Hillier receiving the lone helper. Renkowski then completed his first hat trick in the NAHL when he came out of the box and beat Danbury's defenders to the puck to put the Titans up by 10. Zak Brice would see his shutout big squashed less than a minute later, but that would be the only goal conceded by the Arizona State commit, stopping 29 of 30 shots sent his way.

With the 10-1 final, the Titans scored 10 goals for the first time since October 22nd, 2021, in a 12-5 victory over Maine. With the win, the Titans remain in 5th place in the division with a record of 24-19-3. With 51 points, they trail Johnstown by 6 for 4th place, and home ice advantage in the Play-In Round of the Robertson Cup Playoffs. The team will be in action again on Tuesday night, as they travel south to take on their in-state rival, the Philadelphia Rebels.
