The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Marcus Sang will be continuing his academic and hockey career at Tufts University. The Tufts Jumbos are an NCAA Division III ice hockey program who play in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). He will be joining the Jumbos in the fall of 2023.
In three seasons with the Red Buckets, the Skillman, NJ native tallied 34 total points (13 goals and 21 assists) in 108 games played.
"I'm super proud and excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic career and playing hockey at Tufts University," said Sang, "I want to thank my family and all my coaches who have helped me along the way. Additionally, I would like to thank the New Jersey Titans NAHL program which has been my home for the last 2 years, and has assisted me in making this next step."
"I am so proud of Marcus' commitment. Marcus made a huge impact on our program during his two years with us," stated head coach and general manager Craig Doremus, "In addition to being a huge part of our Robertson Cup team, Marcus really developed and rounded out his game. In my opinion, Tufts is getting a Division 1 caliber hockey player. Nonetheless, it is a great fit for Marcus with Tufts on and off the ice. I can't wait to see his career continue in college. I know Marcus is destined to be a super successful young man."
Tufts University is in Medford, MA. The Jumbos are coached by Pat Norton.
