New Jersey Titans News Release
The New Jersey Titans saw their 18-game winning streak versus the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks broken Friday night in Connecticut, falling by a score of 4 to 2.
Kristofers Krumins got the Titans on the board in the final few minutes of the first period for his 6th of the season, assisted by Jack Hillier at 16:41. In the second, Nikita Meshcheryakov stretched his point streak to 4 straight games, finding the back of the net five minutes into the frame. Ethan Wongus and Dominik Bartecko picked up the helpers on Meshcheryakov's 9th of the season. However, that would be the last gasp of the New Jersey offense.
The Jr Hat Tricks scored twice in the first five minutes of the third period to tie the game, and scored what would prove to be the game winning goal at the 9:44 mark. They added an empty net goal in the final minute to record their first victory over the Titans since November 18th, 2021.
The Titans will look to regroup on the back half of the home and home series, a 7:00pm faceoff Saturday night in Middletown.
