The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (20-19) didn't stand a chance on Tuesday, as the Torrington Titans (22-18) captured a blowout 13-2 win at Vineyard Baseball Park.
The Torrington Titans scored six runs in the ninth on the Torrington Titans scored in the ninth on a hit by pitch, a double by Matthew Batten,, a single by Jack St. Clair,, and a solo home run by Mike Odenwaelder.
Odenwaelder racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Torrington Titans.
Brett Susi picked up the win for the Torrington Titans. Susi pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out three.
Mike Fitzgerald had an impressive outing against the Torrington Titans' lineup. Fitzgerald gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his two innings of work.
Mitch Leeds (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
