New Jersey Titans News Release
As Division I prepares for the Frozen Four and Division III sees their season come to an end, the New Jersey Titans are proud of their 80+ alumni playing NCAA hockey.
Last Saturday saw Matt Iasenza and the Hobart Statesmen capture their second consecutive NCAA Division III National Championship with a 2-0 victory over Trinity College. Iasenza recorded the empty net goal that made the Statesmen since St. Norbert went back-to-back in 2011 in 2012. He finishes his junior season at Hobert with 2 goals and 3 assists in 22 games played.
At the Division I level, Nick DeSantis, Ryan McInchak, and the Cornell defeated Eric Charpentier and Dartmouth in the ECAC Semifinals by a score of 6-3. DeSantis potted a pair of goals and added an assist as the Big Red punched their ticket to the ECAC Championship, where they defeated St. Lawrence by a score of 3-1 to capture their league leading 13th ECAC Championship, and first since 2010.
Cornell will play Anthony Calafiore and the Maine Black Bears on Thursday, March 28th, in the first round of the NCAA National Tournament
