Titans Acquire Winger Tim Spencer

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans have acquired 6-foot-6, 230-pound left wing Tim Spencer from the Chicago Express.

The 25-year-old Spencer played in eight games with Chicago, recording one assist and registering 42 penalty minutes. He will provide the Titans with a formidable physical presence.

The native of Canduff, Sask., is in his sixth season of professional hockey, He has experience in both the ECHL and the AHL. Last season, Tim played 35 games between Florida, Elmira, and Binghamton, racking up 124 penalty minutes.

"Tim will no doubt provide a boost in an area of need,'' said Titans head coach Vince Williams, whose team welcomes the Reading Royals to the Sun National Bank Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday. "He is a physical force on the ice.''

Prior to his professional career, Tim played five seasons of junior hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, scoring 56 points and totaling 457 penalty minutes in 238 games.
