David Gilbert Recalled to Rockford from Toledo

Grand Rapids, Mich.-The Chicago Blackhawks announced that they have reassigned center David Gilbert from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Gilbert has played in seven games with the Walleye in 2011-12 and ranks second on the team in scoring with six points. The center leads the Walleye with five assists.

Chicago's seventh round selection (209th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Gilbert has played in six total games with Rockford at the end of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. During his short stint with the IceHogs, Gilbert has two goals and two assists.
