Tinordi Named to Team USA Preliminary Roster for 2012 World Junior Tournament

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights Defenceman and Captain Jarred Tinordi was named to the U.S. National Junior Team Preliminary Roster by USA Hockey this afternoon. He will be auditioning for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will take part in the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26, 2011-Jan. 5, 2012, in Calgary and Edmonton, Alta.
Tinordi, 19, is in his 2nd season in the Ontario Hockey League and his 1st season as Captain with the London Knights. He was selected in the 4th Round of the 2008 Ontario Hockey League Draft. Tinordi was the Montreal Canadiens 1st Round Selection at the 2010 NHL Draft in Los Angeles, California. He is a native of Millersville, Maryland. Prior to joining the London Knights in 2010-2011 he served as Captain of the US Under-18 National Team in 2009-2010.
