Erie Otters News Release
The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League have announced that 20 games produced by Erie's Image Sports Network will be broadcast across the United States on America One Network.
All games will originate in Erie and feature the Otters against the rest of the Ontario Hockey League. Games will be tape-delayed on America One Network every Monday at 8:00 p.m. beginning December 5.
"We are going to have the opportunity to showcase the OHL before an American audience of up to 60 million households," Image Sports Network President Jay Jablonski said. "The purpose will be to expose America One viewers to many of the future stars of the National Hockey League."
The Ontario Hockey League has produced four straight first overall picks for the National Hockey League from 2007 to 2010, including Stanley Cup champion Patrick Kane and 2009-10 goal-scoring leader Steven Stamkos. There are 13 players currently in the OHL that were selected in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
America One Network serves over 170 LPTV, Class A Full Power, cable and satellite affiliate stations. American One holds the U.S. broadcast rights to the National Lacrosse League, Australian Football League, the USAR Hooters Pro Cup, the Canadian Football League and Grey Cup Championship. Image Sports Network has been an American One affiliate for ten years and can be viewed on Time Warner Cable (channel 20 in the City of Erie and channel 13 for the rest of Erie County).
The Otters head back on the road to take on the Sarnia Sting Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen to all the action on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan or online at ottershockey.com (courtesy of the James H. Cross Company).
