LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps fell to the Chiefs, 4-1. Jose Espada shined out of the TinCaps pen with three scoreless frames and Joshua Mears collected his first hit with the team since May.

HOT CAPS: The TinCaps have won back-to-back series for the first time since April. The 'Caps previously defeated Lansing, 4-2, in a home series prior to the break and beat Dayton, 2-1, before heading to Peoria.

ROBERT HASSELL: Ranks 3rd in the MWL in batting average (.301), 5th in hits (86), 7th in RBIs (51), 8th in OBP (.380) and total bases (132), and 10th in OPS (.842)...10th lowest swing and miss % (9%).

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (67), while ranking 2nd in triples (7), 4th in stolen bases (30), 5th walks (54; 15%), and 7th in OBP (.384)... He's swung and missed at only 8% of pitches seen, the 5th lowest rate in the league... 4th in BB/K (0.8)...In July, Rosier leads FW in batting average (.348), OPS (.980), RBI (11), and SB (8).

JARRYD DALE: Ranks 4th in the MWL in games (88) and 6th in walks (51).

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers are 2nd in the MWL in throwing runners out trying to steal (33 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads the league with 22, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 9, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.6 per game), while having struck out the 4th fewest times (8.7 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 31-14 when scoring first (69% win rate) and 8-39 when they don't (17%)... Fort Wayne is 11-11 in 1-run games, 5-12 in 2-run games, and 1-3 in extra-innings.
