Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the West Michigan Whitecaps (affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) in the third game of a six-game series.

Last Game: Wednesday: West Michigan 4, Dayton 1. West Michigan had only four hits but they hit two two-run home runs and took advantage of 11 walks to win their second straight in the series. Quincy McAfee had a home run for Dayton and Tyler Callihan was 3 for 3 with a walk.

Roster Turnover: Since April, the following nine Dragons players have been promoted to Double-A Chattanooga: shortstop Elly De La Cruz; starting pitchers Andrew Abbott and Connor Phillips; relief pitcher Spencer Stockton; starter/reliever Evan Kravetz; first baseman Alex McGarry; outfielder Allan Cerda; infielder Nick Quintana, and catcher Daniel Vellojin. Additionally, starting pitchers Bryce Bonnin and James Proctor are out for season with shoulder injuries, outfielder Rece Hinds is out until at least late-August with a broken hamate, and first baseman Ruben Ibarra is out with a broken thumb.

Dayton is tied for first in the MWL in home runs with 108, the most they have hit in a season since 2017 when they hit 112. The Dragons are on a pace to hit 156 on the year (130-game season). The club record is 144 in 2001 in a 139-game season.

Joe Boyle has an opponent's batting average of .089 with an earned run average of 1.94 for the year.

Christian Roa has not allowed a run over his last three starts covering 14 innings (7 H, 21 SO) to lower his ERA from 5.63 to 3.91.
