FULLERTON, Calif. - Timbers2 played their final road match of the season, falling 4-0 to LAFC2 at Titan Stadium on Friday night. Portland wraps up its 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign at home next week, playing host to Real Monarchs on Sept. 24 at Providence Park.
Goal-Scoring Plays
LAFC - Leonardo Flores (penalty kick), 32nd minute: Portland was whistled for a foul inside the box. Leonardo Flores stepped to the spot and converted his attempt into the bottom left corner of the goal.
LAFC - Leonardo Flores (Christopher Jaime), 61st minute: Christopher Jaime served a ball from the left wing 30 yards out into the center of the box. Flores won the ball at the top of the six-yard box and directed a header inside the left post.
LAFC - Leonardo Flores (penalty kick), 75th minute: Timbers2 conceded a foul inside the box, resulting in a second penalty kick for LAFC. Flores again took the kick, sending his shot into the bottom right corner.
