Portland Timbers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers and Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer today announced that forward Bryan Jordan will rejoin the Timbers on loan for the remainder of the 2008 season. He will be available for selection for Saturday's match in Minnesota.
As part of the loan agreement, Jordan can be recalled by Los Angeles as needed during the rest of the 2008 MLS season.
With the Timbers this season, Jordan, 22, has played 277 minutes over four matches (3 starts) and logged one assist during two previous short-term loans from the Galaxy. He was previously on loan with the Timbers from June 4-7 and June 27-28.
Jordan has appeared in one match for the Galaxy this season since being transferred from the Timbers in March. In four Reserve Division matches, Jordan has scored a team-high three goals for Los Angeles.
As a rookie with the Timbers in 2007, Jordan played in 26 matches and ranked among the team's scoring leaders with five goals and one assist. He also scored a goal in the postseason as the Timbers reached the USL First Division semifinals. Jordan was a two-time USL First Division Team of the Week selection last season after joining the Timbers following his collegiate career at Oregon State University.
The Timbers take on the Thunder on Saturday at the National Sports Center at 5:05 p.m. (Pacific). A live broadcast of the match can be heard on www.portlandtimbers.com; with a live video webcast available through USL Live at www.usllive.com.
