
Tigers Extend Desjardins' Contract

Medicine Hat, AB â Today, the Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to announce the extension of the contract for head coach Will Desjardins.
Desjardins lead the Tigers this season to their first league championship in 16 years by capturing the President's Cup in the league final vs. Everett Silvertips.
"We are very pleased to extend Will's contract," said Tigers' general manager Rick Carriere. "It will be very exciting to watch as he takes the team to another level."
"The time we have spent together has been very beneficial, for not only management but players as well," said Carriere. "I feel Will has an excellent relationship with the players, while at the same time, having the ability to push them to be the best they can be," concluded Carriere.
During his first two years leading the Tigers, Desjardins' regular season coaching record is 69-54-11-10 while posting a 23-8-0-0 playoff record.
"From my point of view, I would like to thank the Tigers organization for giving me the opportunity to coach the past two years and believing in me for the future," stated Tigers' head coach Will Desjardins.
"It's a great organization, we have tremendous fans and excellent players. As a result, being in Medicine Hat is a terrific fit for my family and myself. I'm really looking forward to next season.
