Tigers' Ennis Named BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week

CALGARY, AB. - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Tyler Ennis of the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Ennis picked up eight points in two games during the week of December 24th through to December 30th. He scored one goal, seven assists and had a plus minus rating of +1, helping the Tigers to a 2-0 record in that span.
On Friday, December 28th, the Medicine Hat Tigers travelled into Swift Current to take on the Broncos at the Credit Union i-plex. Ennis picked up four assists, including an assist on the game winning goal with 13 seconds left in the third period, to lift the Tigers to a 6-5 victory.
The following evening, Saturday, December 29th, in the second half of the home and home series the Tigers hosted the Swift Current Broncos at the Arena in Medicine Hat. Ennis earned one goal and three assists in the Tigers 5-2 win. He was also named the games 2nd Star.
Ennis's consistent play has helped the Tigers win six of their last seven contests. This also marks the second time this season that Ennis has been named the Boston Pizza WHL Player of the Week.
Ennis, an 18-year-old product from Edmonton, AB is in his third season with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League and is eligible for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The WHL has also nominated Mark Friesen of the Chilliwack Bruins for the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week award.
