Tiger Cats unveil 2004 promotional schedule

Couples Lie Detector Tests! Flowers in Washrooms! Toronto Appreciation Day! Cat in the Hat Literacy Night! The Hall of Fame Induction Celebration! ...We promised to make every effort to deliver the most entertaining football experience in the CFL! Fans should be prepared to have fun with the Tiger-Cats this year!" says David Sauve, Team President.

"We have tried to build a promotional schedule that enhances the overall football game-day experience. The schedule touches on every segment of our fan base, including die-hard football fans, families, history buffs, teens and even our friends from Toronto!" says Debbie Slingerland, the Tiger-Cats Director of Event Production.

A few of the promotional schedule themes...

Our Toronto Rivalry Series! The Tiger Cats host the Toronto Argonauts three times in 2004 and every game is a big event!

The May 30th pre-season exhibition game against the Argos will see the launch of the new videoboard, the DOFASCO TigerVision. The first 500 fans at the game will receive a Lite-Brite toy, in tribute to the old scoreboard!

Toronto returns July 10th for Toronto Appreciation Day! Argo fans will get to trade their old worn out Argos hat for a new Tiger-Cats Bob Young Replica Hat.... And that's not all; fans from Toronto will feel right at home with our special Bay Street ticket and parking specials!

Monday September 6th Toronto returns for the biggest Sporting event of the year - the Labour Day Classic. Gates will open three hours prior to kick-off for our pre-game party!

Great Fun for Kids, Families and Teens Families will be able to enjoy two Summer Night Firework Shows (post-game following the July 23rd and August 27th games).

Football is a game for kids and adults only screw it up! On Sunday September 19th, we are going to prove it on Kids Run the Ticats Day! Join us as kids take over the operation of the football club! Watch as they do the P.A., tear tickets, help with the radio broadcast and much more!

Pregnant woman - Labour Day is your day! All pregnant women will receive a free ticket and the first expectant mother following the game who gives birth (who was in attendance) will be awarded a season ticket for life for their baby!

The first 500 women entering every game will receive a special carnation at every Ticats home game.

Teens Own Friday Nights! Teens can get a ticket for only $10 for any one of six Friday Night home games.

Other great family promotions include Cat in the Hat Literacy Night as well as Proud To Be Canadian Night that coincides with the opening ceremonies of the summer games in Athens.

Cool Food!
Watch out for outdoor grills with Ribs, Chicken and Foot-Long Hot Dogs! Lots of hawkers in the stands, Perogies, Poutine, a Kids Menu with Oreo Cookie Dirt Cups, Crescent Dogs, Super Slushies and Itsakadosee Popsicles!

Traditionalists
Enjoy marching bands, the Canadian Hall of Fame Game honouring the 2004 class including Ticats great Ben Zambiasi, the Wall of Honour Ceremony and the Grey Cup will be on-site for four games.
