
Tiger-Cats Sign Wide Receiver/Kick Returner Grant

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday the football club has signed international wide receiver/kick returner Janarion Grant.
Grant, 25, made two appearances with the National Football League's Baltimore Ravens in 2018, returning seven punts for 52 yards and two kickoffs for 56 yards. He originally signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2018 and also spent time on the team's practice roster last season.
The 5-10, 173-pound native of Trilby, Florida played 49 games over five seasons (2013-17) at Rutgers University, returning 115 kickoffs for 2,857 yards (24.8 avg) with five touchdowns, while fielding 52 punt returns for 588 yards (11.3 avg) and three touchdowns. The return specialist added 98 receptions for 1,059 yards and two receiving touchdowns, 36 carries for 344 yards and four rushing touchdowns, and completed two passes for 26 yards with two passing touchdowns during his time with the Scarlett Knights. Grant finished his collegiate career as Rutgers University's all-time kickoff return yardage leader (2,857) and tied the NCAA record for combined kick return touchdowns (8).
