Tiger-Cats Select Dayton Black in First Round of 2023 CFL Draft

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected offensive lineman Dayton Black in the first round, sixth overall of the 2023 Canadian Football League Draft.
Black, 23, played 30 games over three seasons (2018-22) with the University of Saskatchewan. The 6-6, 295 pound, offensive lineman was named a Canada West All-Star in 2022. The native of Brandon, Manitoba, began his career on the defensive line before transitioning to the offensive line in 2021.
