
Tiger-Cats Acquire Draft Pick from Lions in Exchange for Evans

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Thursday, the football club has acquired a fourth-round pick with a conditional escalator in the 2024 Canadian Football League Draft from the BC Lions in exchange for quarterback Dane Evans.
Evans, 29, suited up in 17 regular season games and one playoff game for the Tiger-Cats in 2022, completing 305 of 457 pass attempts (66.7%) for 3,883 yards with 16 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. The 6'1, 218-pound native of Sanger, Texas dressed in 63 games over his four seasons in Hamilton (2018-22), totalling 8,807 passing yards on 698 of 1,019 passing (68.5%) with 45 passing touchdowns and 34 interceptions. The University of Tulsa product started four playoff games for the Tiger-Cats including the 107th and 108th Grey Cup games.
