Tiffany Mitchell Scores Season High as Lynx Avoid Regular Season Series Sweep

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Fever guard Tiffany Mitchell scored a season-high 18 points off the bench as Minnesota won the final game of the regular season series between the two teams, 87-77, at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Friday. Indiana won the first two games this season against Minnesota, but dropped to 5-21 this season, while the Lynx sit at 10-16.

Mitchell and the Fever bench also scored a season-best 39 points in the final regular season home game played at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Indiana led by nine points toward the end of the first half and reduced the late Minnesota lead down to six in the fourth quarter before the Lynx were able to pull away.

Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell finished with 17 points and went 8-of-8 from the free throw line. Forward NaLyssa Smith added nine points and nine assists. Danielle Robinson recorded eight points and three rebounds, while Emily Engstler had eight points, four assists and three rebounds off the bench.

For Minnesota, Kayla McBride led all scorers with a season-high 28 points on 9-of-17 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 clip from the free throw line. Sylvia Fowles ended her last regular season game in Indiana with 22 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. Off the bench, Jessica Shepard added 11 points on 4-of-8, dished out five assists, had three rebounds and one steal. Shepard scored all of her 11 points in the third quarter
