
Tibbetts nets UHL's Player of the Week

Rockford, Ill.- The United Hockey League announced on Monday that Rockford IceHogs center Billy Tibbetts has been named the UHL's Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2005-06 season. Tibbetts scored 4g-3a-7pts in the IceHogs four games.
The Boston, Mass. native was signed by Rockford three weeks into the '05-06 campaign after nearly a seven-month layoff. After going pointless in his first five games with Rockford, Tibbetts has a point in each of his last six contests.
Tibbetts began the week with a pair of goals and an assist against the Missouri River Otters on Wednesday. The veteran center then nabbed a goal and a helper against Kalamazoo on Friday, a goal in Muskegon on Saturday and an assist against Quad City Sunday.
In 11 overall games with the IceHogs, Tibbetts now has 5g-5a-10pts. Tibbetts has also brought another physical dimension to the team, as he has accumulated 47 penalty minutes.
Next Home Games:Saturday, Dec.10 vs. Muskegon Fury. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The two-time defending champs come to Rockford for the first time this season. The first 1,500 fans will receive an IceHogs Tumbler Mug from McDonalds. Also, don't forget a Teddy Bear! The game is the Hogs Annual Teddy Bear Toss and after Rockford scores their first goal, fans can throw the bears onto the ice. All the stuffed bears will be collected and donated to local hospitals and charities for children.
