Thunderstorms Postpone CT Tigers-IronBirds Doubleheader

NORWICH, Ct. - Thunderstorms forced the postponement of Saturday's doubleheader between the Connecticut Tigers and Aberdeen IronBirds at Dodd Stadium. The doubleheader is rescheduled for Sunday, August 19 beginning at 3:05 p.m.

Tickets for Saturday, August 18 will be honored as a rainout exchange for any remaining 2018 Tigers regular season game at Dodd Stadium. Remaining Joe Jimenez CT Tigers bobbleheads will be distributed Sunday when stadium gates open at 2 p.m.

Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader will be the resumption of a previous contest between the Tigers and IronBirds in Aberdeen, Maryland on July 22. The game resumes with a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning and is scheduled for seven innings. Game 2 is also scheduled for seven innings.

Saturday's postgame fireworks sponsored by Liberty Bank will be rescheduled on a later date to be determined at Dodd Stadium.
