LAKELAND- Sports fans this is a weekend you do not want to miss out on. The Wayne Gandy Football Weekend, April 21st and 22nd, will be packed with a totally free youth clinic, a charity golf tournament, big name NFL stars and appearances by the ThunderBolts Dancers
The ThunderBolts Dancers, sponsored by Lifestyle Family Fitness, have been asked to perform a dance routine for the youth cheerleaders during the cheerleading camp on April 22. Once they have performed their routine they will be available for autographs and to answer any questions for aspiring dancers. The dancers will also be helping out at the charity golf tournament for the benefit of Haines City youth programs, on April 21.
Giving back to the community is something that Wayne Gandy truly believes in doing. The youth clinic, which will feature both football and cheerleading instruction, is schedule for April 22 at Cook Field in Haines City, is totally free for those wanting to participate. Those interested in football will receive valuable lesson in sportsmanship, and many football drills. To help out with the football clinic Wayne Gandy asked some special friends for the NFL to help out, Jerome (The Bus) Bettis, Hines Ward, Jamal Lewis and many more.
Those persons participating in the charity golf tournament will get the opportunity to play a round of golf with Wayne Gandy and other NFL stars that will be there for the weekend's events. All the proceeds from the golf tournament will go to benefit Haines City youth programs.
The ThunderBolts are at home again April 29 vs. Fayetteville Guard. Kick off is at 7pm at the Lakeland Center. Season Tickets and Mini Flex Plans are still available for the ThunderBolts second season of professional indoor football.
