
Thunder Signs Coultice

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Bloomington PrairieThunder coach Jarrod Skalde announced Thursday the signing of rookie defenseman Noel Coultice to an International Hockey League contract.
The 5-foot-11, 158-pound Coultice played 38 professional games in Holland last year with the Groningen Pecoma Grizzles where he scored five goals and had 24 assists for 29 points. The 24-year-old Coultice began his hockey career with the Eric Otters of the OHL Junior League where he played for three years.
The left-handed shooting Pickering, Ontario native played at Dalhousie University in Canada where he scored four goals with 10 assists for 14 points in 93 games. He will wear number 11 with the PrairieThundwer.
Coultice will be in action Friday when the PrairieThunder opens a six-game home stand at 7:05 p.m. against the Flint Generals at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-745-3000.
