
Thunder Fall to Prairie Dogs

Abilene, Texas - the Abilene Prairie Dogs used a strong outing from starter Tommy Hoenshell as he pitched seven innings and allowed one run while striking out eight en route to an 8-2 victory over the McAllen Thunder on Monday night at Walt Driggers Field.
A two-run double by Kyle Nichols helped the Abilene Prairie Dogs (20-29) score two runs in the sixth. The Abilene Prairie Dogs had one hit in the inning.
Eddie Browne racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Craig Hertler and Nathan Tomaszewski each had two hits for the Thunder (17-35), while Matt Redding drove in a run as did Tomaszewski.
Alexei Perez (2-3) took the loss for the McAllen Thunder. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out one.
The Thunder will continue their six game series against the Abilene Prairie Dogs on Tuesday night at Walt Driggers Field with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
