NASHVILLE - This Saturday night, Nashville SC takes to the big stage at Nissan Stadium for a clash with North Carolina FC, presented by the GOAL Program presented by Cooper Steel to benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

There will be all kinds of festivities surrounding the match at the club's future temporary MLS home. Plus, the Boys in Gold would have the chance to make some history with a win. Here are three things to know about Saturday's big clash.

1) The Opening Act

Before the match, come out to Nissan Stadium's South Plaza between lots J and K for The Opening Act, Nashville SC's official pre-match party. Southern indie rock band and diehard Nashville SC fans The Weeks will take the stage from 5-6 p.m., plus hear beats from Whiskey Row Broadway DJ Chase Erwin. Local food trucks will also be on hand, including Burritos La Mina and Moosic City Ice Cream. Play soccer on our inflatable pitch or play some EA Sports FIFA on our video game truck. Plus, we'll have jugglers, stilt walkers, fire breathers and aerialists throughout the party.

The Opening Act gets going at 4:30 p.m. and will go until 6:30 p.m. Click here to learn more.

2) Clinching a Home Playoff Match

Nashville SC has the chance to make history on Saturday night if it can beat North Carolina FC. A win would clinch at least one home playoff match for the Boys in Gold. A draw or loss coupled with a draw or loss by the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday night would also be enough to clinch a home playoff match. In addition, a win coupled with a Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC loss or draw would put Nashville in prime position to claim first place in the Eastern Conference with one match remaining.

3) Friendly Confines of Nissan Stadium

Nissan Stadium has been kind to Nashville SC this season. After earning a pair of 0-0 draws there during the 2018 season, Nashville broke things open on July 27 against Indy Eleven this season, winning 2-0. Through three total matches so far at Nissan Stadium in club history, Nashville SC is unbeaten and has yet to concede a goal.
