Philadelphia Union News Release

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today that three of their players have received international call-ups from their respective federations. Borek Dockal (Czech Republic), Andre Blake and Cory Burke (both Jamaica) are set to join their national teams during the upcoming FIFA window.

Dockal joins the Czech Republic ahead of two matches in the 2018-19 UEFA Nations League, a new competition involving the national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. Dockal and the Czech Republic are in Group 1 of League B and are slated to play two games: at Slovakia (October 13) and at Ukraine (October 16).

In total, Dockal has earned 35 caps for the Czech Republic. He made his debut on February 6, 2013 in an international friendly against Turkey and scored his first goal in FIFA World Cup qualification on October 15, 2013 vs. Bulgaria. He was a part of the Czech squad at UEFA Euro 2016, appearing in the Group Stage against Turkey, and most recently played for his country in qualification matches ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He earned his first call-up as a member of the Union last month ahead of the Czech Republic's debut in the UEFA Nations League, but he could not attend due to injury.

Meanwhile, Blake and Burke are set to join the Reggae Boyz for the second time in as many months, this time ahead of a singular match in the CONCACAF Nations League qualification as Jamaica plays against Bonaire in Curacao (October 14). Fueled by two goals from Burke and a clean sheet from Blake, Jamaica won their first match in qualification over the Cayman Islands by a 4-0 final on September 9.

Blake has earned 33 caps for Jamaica, while Burke has earned 14. Each player was a part of the Reggae Boyz squad that finished as runner-up in the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Following the international break, the Union play at Talen Energy Stadium vs. the New York Red Bulls on Sunday, October 21 (3:00 p.m. ET / 6abc).
