Following a 4-0 home win last Saturday over the Colorado Rapids, Sounders FC returns to action tonight vs. the Houston Dynamo on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (7:30 p.m. PT / JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Heading into tonight's match, Seattle sits in fifth place in the Western Conference with 47 points, where three teams have clinched a postseason spot (FC Dallas, Sporting Kansas City, Los Angeles FC).
Tonight's match is being carried locally on JOEtv and regionally on YouTube TV, featuring Keith Costigan, Kasey Keller and Steve Zakuani on the call, in addition to Michelle Ludtka, Marcus Hahnemann and James Riley providing pre-match, halftime and post-match coverage. Sports Radio 950 KJR AM is airing the fixture on the radio, with Matt Johnson on play-by-play and Wade Webber on color commentary, as well as Jackson Felts hosting pre-match, halftime and post-match coverage alongside Pete Fewing and Danny Jackson. Fans in Western Washington can listen to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez, Felipe Maqueda and Carlos Tapia.
Following Monday's match, Brian Schmetzer's side has a bye week due to a FIFA international window. The club returns to action with a two-match road trip beginning on Wednesday, October 17 at Orlando City SC (4:30 p.m. PT / JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
DEMOCRACY IN SPORTS
Tonight's match gives Sounders FC fans the chance to celebrate the club's Democracy in Sports initiative, with Alliance Members able to vote on the retention of Garth Lagerwey as the General Manager. Voting began September 19 at 10:00 a.m. PT and ends October 17 at 5:00 p.m. PT, with polls open at CenturyLink Field on September 19, 29 and October 8, or at SoundersFC.com/GMVote.
