Three more added to impressive roster

West Texas Roughnecks News Release


Odessa, Texas. In addition to today's earlier announcement, the Roughnecks have added three more to the ever-growing and impressive team roster:

John Norman- 6'1" 230 Texas Tech Linebacker

** John was a standout linebacker at Midland Lee High School and at Texas Tech. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagle after college and made it to the last cut before the 2002 season. John has indoor and arena football experience with two different franchises.

Trevor Swenson- 6'3" 295 Minnesota/Crookston Offensive/Defensive Lineman

** Trevor was a member of the Junior College National Championship team in 2000 (Rochester CC) and was a two year starter on the Offensive Line at the University of Minnesota-Crookston. He completed his college career in 2004.

Justin Carrigan- 6'1" 211 Angelo State Defensive Back

** A standout college player at Angelo State, Justin was an All-Lonestar Conference player while making over 200 tackles in his career. He won the Greg Stokes award as the underclassman of the year as a sophomore. He also helped lead the Angelo defense to a number 5 national ranking in pass defense.

Additional player signings will be announced next week. The National Indoor Football League has no set limit on the number of players that may be invited to training camp but the Roughnecks expect to keep this number manageable while signing quality athletes.
