
Three K-Tribers from Last Years team on WBC Rosters

Kinston, NC - Five Former K-Tribers, including three from last season's club, made the final rosters for the 2009 World Baseball Classic. 2008 K-Tribers Nick Weglarz (Canada), Sung-Wei Tseng (Chinese Tapei) and Paolo Espino (Panama) will be on their home country's respective rosters when WBC play begins on March 5th. Former K-Triber Rafael Perez (2005 K-Tribe) will play for the Dominican Republic and MLB All-Star Grady Sizemore (2002 K-Tribe) will play for the United States.
Nick Weglarz is currently ranked as Baseball America's third best prospect in the Cleveland Indians Organization. The outfielder hit .272 for the K-Tribe last season with 10 homeruns and 41 RBIs. Weglarz led the Indians with five triples, 71 walks and an on-base percentage of .396. Weglarz was a starter on Canada's 2008 Olympic Baseball Team. Sung-Wei Tseng has spent parts of the last two seasons with Kinston. Tseng went 0-8 with a 5.27 ERA last year for the K-Tribe. Paolo Espino made six starts for the K-Tribe before going on the DL in 2008. Cleveland has a total of nine players from the Major League Club and Player Development Organization on WBC rosters this year.
